Midwest Interior Design Competition - 2024

                SUBMISSION:

January 1, 2024 - March 31, 2024

QUALIFICATION FOR SUBMISSION:

  • Open to interior designers, architects, builders, students. ASID membership is NOT required to participate.

  • Projects must be completed between January 1, 2021 - March 31, 2024.

  • Projects must be located in one of the following states: Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas.

CATEGORIES:

RESIDENTIAL

  • Single family home (new build or whole home remodel)

  • Single-use space (bedroom, living room, office, walk-in closet, outdoor space)

  • Kitchen
  • Bathroom

COMMERCIAL

  • Hospitality & Retail

  • Corporate & Wellness

ENTRY FEES

  • $100 per project. Multiple projects in one category are not allowed. Maximum 3 entries per participant.

  • Students - $50 per project. Multiple projects in one category are not allowed. Projects may be submitted for up to 1 year after the graduation.

JUDGING

  • The competition will be decided by randomly selected judges from the ASID national poolers. The judges will use a points-based system with a maximum of 100 points possible.

WINNERS and AWARDS

  • 1 winner per category.

  • Each winner will receive a check for $1000.

  • The project with the highest overall score will be awarded the Grand Prize - a trip to Paris for two people for Maison & Objet (September 5-9, 2024).

  • Winners will be announced at the MWDAFF-2024 Industry Party on May 10, 2024.

* Only one project in all categories will win the trip. The prize includes two round-trip economy tickets from Kansas City to Paris. Accommodations comprise a 4-night stay at a hotel, and two admission tickets to Maison & Objet. Please note that all other expenses will be the responsibility of the winner.
